After months of feeling unwell, and years of depression that felt like it would never go away – I had to take my health into my own hands and look further into what could have been causing my symptoms. I had already cut out wheat from my diet a few years ago when I discovered this was also a cause to many previous ailments.Initially diagnosed with psoriasis, years ago –  I quickly realized that all of my gastrointestinal symptoms were closely related to the consumption of wheat too.

Fast forward to now, and even cutting out wheat products was not enough anymore. Some symptoms were still present, and when you look a little closer, you probably wont believe how many products have hidden wheat or gluten. Each and every time I was unknowingly “glutened” my physical and mental health took a dive.

This really has opened my eyes and mind to learning about nutrition and how important it is to eat enough healthy foods, to gain enough vitamins for your body to function at ultimate level, and to avoid foods which cause fatigue and low energy. Believe me, it is easier said than done.

Looking back on my own health history, now I can see that many of these issues could have also been prevented with a healthier diet, and enough nutrients and understanding the effects of wheat on my body. I hope that you too can learn to eat in a way which is healthier for you, which ever way that may be – and to just learn from what I have discovered, and hopefully I can make it easier for you to make those better choices.

*Disclaimer – I am no medical expert, I am now on a life long journey of living gluten free and just trying to make each choice a healthier choice. I will share what has worked for me, and there really are no side effects of eating healthy, whole and unprocessed foods.

Enough about that though, let this journey begin!
